PSAA is thrilled to share the incredible centerpiece created by the talented Blaine Fontana for one of Portland’s most talked-about new restaurants: Terra Mae. Nestled within the luxurious Cascada Hotel & Spa, Terra Mae offers an unforgettable blend of Portuguese tradition and Japanese refinement, making it a true gem in the city’s renowned culinary landscape.

Blaine collaborated with PSAA, Chef Megan Sky, and Colby Hayden (Director of Food & Beverage) to create a breathtaking 5’ x 18’ acrylic painting titled Minha Mãe, Sua Mãe (My Mother, Your Mother). This awe-inspiring piece spans nearly the entire east wall of the restaurant, setting a tone of beauty and connection that perfectly complements Terra Mae’s unique dining experience.

The painting features Mother Earth, depicted with outstretched hands and deep-set, serene eyes that seem to hold endless wisdom. Dancing waves, flourishing flowers, and vibrant tropical plants surround her, with lush green mountains providing a striking backdrop. The 3D effect and intricate details give the work a sense of life and depth, captivating all who see it.
