STREET ART TOURS

Discover the Transformative Power of Street Art
PSAA is passionate about street art and its ability to educate, inspire, and unite communities. Our tours provide engaging opportunities for youth and the general public to explore the history, techniques, and cultural impact of art in shared public spaces.

Educational Youth Tours

Youth-focused tours emphasize hands-on learning and exploration, often centered around the Taylor Electric Project at the Electric Blocks, home to nearly 100 vibrant murals.

  • One-Hour Youth Tours: Introduce students to the history of street art, mural styles, and techniques.

  • Extended Tours: Two- to three-hour experiences delve deeper into the Central Eastside Mural District, featuring the Viaduct Arts bridge columns, the Belmont/Morrison viaduct murals, and Burnside Skatepark.

  • Artist Demonstrations: Local artists share spray painting techniques and offer students the chance to experiment with the art form themselves.

Customized tours in other Portland neighborhoods are also available.

Interpretive Group Tours

  • Flexible Durations: Tours can be one, two, or three hours, starting at the Electric Blocks or other locations upon request.

  • Team-Building Opportunities: Ideal for corporations, school groups, conference attendees, and more.

PSAA also hosts free public mural bike tours during the summer in partnership with local organizations such as the Central Eastside Industrial Council and Pedalpalooza.
