TAYLOR ELECTRIC BLOCK PARTY, 2018

Dance Competition, by Amanda Riebe

Held in the Summer of 2018, the Taylor Electric Block party celebrated the launching of the Taylor Electric Project and revealed works by over 80 artists, as well as hosting live mural paintings, interactive artist activations, live music, a break dancing / free style dance battle, local vendors, food carts, and more.

The Taylor Electric Block Party featured live painting by over a dozen local street artists. Live painting gives the public the opportunity to talk with artists and learn more about street art and graffiti. The panels were donated by PNCA and the final pieces were donated to members of the community.

The Taylor Electric Block Party allowed members from a variety of communities to come together to celebrate art. There was an epic dance battle, a marketplace for artists to sell their art, live painters, live music, and all the stunning work on the building itself.
