For over a decade, PSAA has worked with governmental agencies, city governments, non-profits, developers, construction companies, architecture and design firms, and business owners to bring big public and private art projects to life.

Our knowledgeable project managers walk your team through every step of the mural planning and production. PSAA has a team of expert site managers, artists, and relationships to other contractors to help make a wide range of projects happen. PSAA’S COMMISSIONING PROCESS

Each art project is unique. Below is a general guide, walking you through how most commission projects happen. PSAA tailors this approach to meet each client’s needs.

SCOPING

  • PSAA works with your team to develop a Scope of Work (SOW)

  • PSAA provides a customized suggested Artist Roster

  • Client selects their favorite artists from the roster

  • PSAA reached out to the selected artists and works with them to develop bids

  • Client selects which artist they want to hire

CONTRACTING

  • PSAA drafts a master contract for client to review

  • PSAA sub-contracts with selected artist and any other sub-contractors needed 

  • PSAA is set up as a vendor (if needed) and bills client per agreed upon Payment Schedule

  • PSAA handles all sub-contractor payments

  • PSAA handles equipment rental, permits, proofs of insurance (COIs), and other logistics planning, as needed

  • PSAA creates a project timeline and shares with project team, as needed for larger jobs

DESIGN PROCESS 

  • PSAA introduces artist and client team to discuss design, kick-off meetings are scheduled  

  • PSAA and the artist conduct a Site Visit with client, if needed for onsite work

  • Artist submits concept sketches and receives feedback and makes revisions as needed

  • Up to 2 revisions are usually included in the contracted price

  • Design sketches finalized and client signs-off on them over email

PRODUCTION

  • Timelines reviewed by PSAA and client team to ensure everything is in place for work to start

  • Artist begins working on creating the artwork

  • PSAA takes professional WIP photos as needed for onsite work

  • PSAA helps manage logistics and artist communications as needed

POST PRODUCTION

  • Final invoices sent

  • PSAA takes professional photos of the completed work 

  • PSAA promotes project on social media and website

  • PSAA helps create and share a press release with the media as needed
